Office Growth in Chelmsford

May 31, 2017

Howard Stein Hudson is proud to recognize the expansion of our Chelmsford office. Over the past two years, we have grown our depth of expertise and staff to include public infrastructure work in addition to private development civil engineering work.

Katie Enright, P.E., Manager of our Chelmsford office, observed “We’ve grown both in number of staff and breadth of work we manage from HSH’s Chelmsford office. I’m proud to be a part of providing both private and public infrastructure solutions to our clients in the Chelmsford region.”

Bridget Myers, P.E., Senior Civil Engineer, leads the project delivery for our municipal clients in the area. Close coordination with the Public Infrastructure team ensures projects progress from planning through engineering to construction. As Bridget notes, “Being in close proximity to our municipal clients generates excellent project efficiency”

A sampling of recent projects include:

  • Little Leaf Farms Greenhouse, Devens, MA –We prepared site plans including design for stormwater management, a rainwater collection system, a septic system and a waste water system.  In addition we obtained the permitting for the development of a state-of-the-art five acre greenhouse on 14.5 undeveloped acres in Devens, Massachusetts.
  • Grist Mill Apartments, Chelmsford, MA – We prepared Permit Site Plan drawings, Stormwater Management Design and Riverfront Area Alternatives analysis for a new four story, 70 unit residential apartment building in the heart of Chelmsford Center.
  • Safety Improvements at the Intersection of Boston Road (Route 4) and Concord Road, Chelmsford, MA –This project involves a complete redesign of the intersection geometry, new sidewalks, signage, striping, and a replacement of the existing culvert carrying Farley Brook under the intersection to alleviate local flooding.  HSH also is assisting with implementing ADA compliant crossings at this location.
